Roomwright is built to need as little of your data as possible. Scanning happens on your phone, we don't run analytics or ads, and everything we do keep is under your control. This page summarises how that works; the Privacy Policy is the formal version.
The short version: camera imagery never leaves your phone, there's no tracking of any kind, your rooms back up to EU-hosted infrastructure, payments are handled by Apple/Google, and you can delete everything in-app.
On-device scanning
Roomwright uses the camera — and on iPhone Pro models, the LiDAR scanner — to measure a room while you scan. The processing happens on the device. Only the resulting measurements (numbers such as wall lengths and dimensions) are saved. The camera feed and any imagery never leave your phone. We don't store room photos.
No analytics, ads or tracking
There are no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no ad networks, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. Roomwright does not request your location or access your contacts. This website is equally clean: it loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers, and sets no advertising cookies.
What we store, and where
- Account: your email address (and name, if you sign in with Apple), used to sign you in and sync your rooms.
- Room measurements: dimensions and your manual corrections, stored on your device and — when signed in — backed up to our database.
- Subscription status: which Roomwright Pro plan you hold and when it renews or expires.
Backups run on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the EU (London region), encrypted in transit. A free account exists so your scans sync across devices and your Pro status follows you.
Payments
Roomwright Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores process the payment; they share only the receipt and identifiers we need to confirm your entitlement, which is validated server-side. We never see your card details.
Your control & GDPR rights
- Delete a room: swipe or long-press it in the app — the backup copy is removed too.
- Delete your account and all data: the account menu on the home screen has a Delete account option that permanently removes your account, scans and subscription record from our servers immediately.
- Export your data: email us and we'll send it as JSON.
- UK/EU GDPR: we process account and scan data to provide the service you signed up for (contract) and retain it until you delete it.
Website security
This site is a static site served only over HTTPS, with HTTP Strict Transport Security, a strict Content Security Policy, and a permissions policy that denies camera, microphone and geolocation access. There are no accounts, forms or secrets on the website itself.
